You’re going native when…

  • You eat more sea-dwelling flora and fauna -cooked and raw
  • You buy and use an umbrella as a parasol
  • Said umbrella is now your must-have accessory
  • You randomly remove your shoes before entering a building
  • Your favourite ice cream flavours are green tea and purple sweet potato
  • You wave your hands over incense holders, clap 3 times and bow when you go into a temple
  • You put on a cardigan when the temperature drops below 25C
  • You bow to strangers who are not members of the royal family
  • You eat noodles for breakfast
  • You do V signs in photos
  • You never EVER cross the road when the red man is lit – even on back streets with no one and no traffic around
