Maharaja’s Palace Jaipur

The palace was built between 1729 and 1732 by the ruler of Amber Sawai Jai Singh II and is still used as the royal family residence hence the flag is flying.

Jaipur is known as the “Pink city’s after the maharaja had the city painted pink in honour of the visit of the prince of Wales who later became King Edward VII.

We met some of the 2000 school principals who were at a conference- lovely ladies
