The north east of Hokkaido

Today we’re cruising towards the Shiretoko peninsula- the southernmost point where sea ice forms in the northern hemisphere. It’s where Hokkaido used to be connected to Russia and brown bears live here and catch salmon that come to spawn. Should get near it about 4pm. But it’s really foggy so don’t know if we’ll even see land never mind brown bears 😐 Will add photos if the fog clears
